Madeline Banta is a Registered Dietitian with a focus on pediatric nutrition. She earned her Bachelors in Science in Dietetics from Idaho State University and went on to complete her post-graduate dietetic internship through Idaho State as well. She developed a love for pediatric nutrition during her internship at St. Luke Children’s Hospital in Boise, ID.
Madeline then started her career at WIC where she had the privilege of working with pregnant or breastfeeding mothers as well as infants and children. She then returned to St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital where she worked on the general pediatric unit, the pediatric oncology unit, and the pediatric ICU. Madeline also has experience as an outpatient pediatric dietitician, having spent 4 years working for the Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, UT as an outpatient pediatric dietitian. Madeline has experience working with families and children with eating disorders, malnutrition, underweight, failure to thrive, diabities, obesity, overweight, post NICU follow-up, feeding difficulties, tube feedings, blenderized tube feedings, picky eating and general nutrition counseling. She has also worked in mulitple multidiscplinary clinics through Primary Children’s. Madeline has a love and passion for helping all children!
Outside of the office, Madeline loves spending time with her husband, family and Dalmatian. She can often be found spending time in the outdoors running, biking, skiing, or traveling. She very much looks forward to helping you and your child!
